Hi, I'm Adrian, thanks for visiting my site.

As a 14 year old boy, I knew exactly what i wanted to do in my adult life, I was an active member of the school photography club, and not only did I yearn for a career in photography, I knew exactly what career path I wanted to follow. However, as many of you will be aware, life sometimes gets in the way, and it did so in my example also. In many ways I was lucky because my career path allowed me to visit many, many wonderful, photogenic places in the world, on the other hand my job forced me to be far too busy, and my visits far to brief to allow me the luxury of taking pictures.

My career came to a shuddering halt in my 53rd year. As i paddled around the pond of uselessness desperately looking for my next direction it is little wonder that I fell quite eagerly on my original ambition from all those years ago. In an attempt to catch myself up with all of those lost years. Yes in my absence the photographic technology had moved along considerably and even though I had casually tried to keep abreast of the digital revolution I was aware that I would need to dust down my learning head and I enrolled on a Ba photography course at Sheffield Hallam.

It didn't take long in my foundation year however for me to realise that although I love the instant results, convenience and immense flexibility of the digital photography world and I enjoy using and learning in its many guises, I really adore the historical technology and techniques and I am determined to relearn and use these skills, and my mission is to prove that there is still a place in the world for the amazing ways that these processes present an image.
